Alex spent 15 years in law enforcement before focusing on both family law and criminal law - a career that culminated with her role as an agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.
With the GBI, Alex became intimately familiar with the practices and procedures used to convict criminals, and she uses her expertise in her current practice as a criminal law attorney. Besides becoming a Master Instructor in the GBI, Alex received the Medal of Valor and “Police Officer of the Year’ awards for performing a daring rescue during a dangerous nursing home fire.
Now, as a practicing family law attorney, clients find Alex’s background in investigations beneficial in complex cases. When Alex is not practicing family or criminal law, she is teaching criminal justice classes, or training for her next marathon.
